SOUTHERNMOST POINT, KEY WEST

Leesa and I found a great way to shorten Chicago winters--a long weekend in Key West. Mid 80's and sunny. Quite a contrast to the snow flurries coming down back home. This painting was done just around the corner from the monument that marks the southernmost point in the U.S. Also known as the point that is only "90 miles to Cuba". Needless to say, I didn't mind the hassle of sand blowing into my paint and brushes as it's preferred over the alternative which, at the moment, is snow.
